ABOUT THE AMICHAI SCHOOL

We are redefining what excellent education looks like

Amichai was born out of a community of parents and educators who came together around a shared hope for their children and for the broader community. We wanted a school that nurtures deep curiosity and academic mastery, honors Israeli and Jewish culture with openness and pluralism, and treats bilingualism, creativity, and character as essential, not extracurricular.

At Amichai, we are dedicated to cultivating deep knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking, while fostering a strong sense of identity, belonging, and responsibility—empowering students to thrive and contribute in a changing world.

Our multidisciplinary approach enables our students to engage in collaborative dialogue, projects and real-world application, while building fluency in core skills and knowledge in both Hebrew and English. Free from rigid pacing and traditional seat time, students engage with their learning in a deeper way than in conventional classrooms.

The resources at Amichai are vast with teachers, learning and subject specialists, psychologists, administrators, and an education leadership team working in close partnership. Together, they support each child as an individual while nurturing a strong, connected community of learners.

MEANING BEHIND THE NAME

Amichai means “my people live”. We believe education is what sustains a people. We chose the name Amichai to reflect our conviction that language, culture, creativity, and learning are what help individuals flourish and keep the Jewish people and Israel vibrant and alive.
