EDUCATIONAL APPROACH
Learning at Amichai is joyful and challenging and comes to life through active engagement
We pride ourselves on small class sizes, individualized attention and meaningful assessments to ensure that every child is supported to excel. Our teaching staff knows each child well - academically, socially, and emotionally - creating a classroom environment where students feel seen, supported, and challenged to grow.
Amichai brings together academics, identity, and creativity into a unified and meaningful learning experience.

Mastery Before Moving On
Academic excellence means understanding ideas deeply - not racing through material. Learning is mastery-based: students are given the time, feedback, and support they need to fully grasp concepts before moving forward.
Strong foundations in literacy, mathematics, sciences, and the humanities are paired with an emphasis on reasoning, problem-solving, and reflection. Students are encouraged to ask meaningful questions, explain their thinking, learn from mistakes, and apply knowledge across disciplines.
Bilingualism is a core academic strength. Students develop high-level literacy and academic fluency in both Hebrew and English through meaningful use across subjects, enabling them to think, communicate, and express complex ideas in more than one language.
How Learning Comes Together
Amichai brings together academics, identity, and creativity into a unified and meaningful learning experience. Learning moves across disciplines and modes, reflecting the way children naturally think and engage.
A math challenge might be solved collaboratively through movement and experimentation. A Jewish text might lead to debate and song. A science experiment might include building, drawing, and ethical discussion. An excursion to a nearby farm might spark an interest in plants, nutrition, and how the cycle of the harvest relates to the Hebrew calendar.
Interdisciplinary learning enables children to become curious, flexible thinkers, who can make connections across ideas, express themselves in multiple ways, and engage thoughtfully with the world around them.
