Itai Sternschein

Facilities and Operations Manager

Itai brings experience in education, community building, agriculture, and sustainability. He previously managed a student village in Jerusalem, worked with at-risk youth, and helped lead agricultural, educational, and community initiatives at Havat Ha’Alamot. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Jewish Thought and Humanistic Studies from Shalem College and is a certified group facilitator and trained permaculture designer. Itai served for five years in the Israeli Navy as a combat soldier, instructor, and commander. Passionate about people, nature, and hands-on learning, he brings these worlds together in his work at Amichai.

Amichai is a nonprofit bilingual Israeli-Jewish school in Tel Aviv rooted in intellectual rigor, cultural grounding, and creative expression.

The Amichai curriculum is designed to meet Israeli and international standards. The Amichai school is in the process of being recognized by the Israeli Ministry of Education.
