
Meirav Steinberger-Arnold
Educational Director
Merav is an educational leader with decades of experience in Israel and the United States. She served as Assistant Principal at the Branco Weiss High School for At-Risk Youth in Ramla (2024–2026) and as Principal of an elementary school for science and the arts in Herzliya (2023–2024). In California, she served as Principal and Dean of Hebrew and Jewish Studies at a K–8 school in San Rafael (2016–2023), directed a Hebrew language school in Palo Alto (2014–2016), and coordinated Hebrew instruction at a K–8 school in El Cerrito (2006–2014). She mentored Hebrew teaching teams in schools in Pittsburgh, served on a committee developing SAT Subject Tests in Princeton, and was a team leader in the Perach tutoring and mentoring program.
Merav holds a B.A. in Geography and Land of Israel Studies, a teaching certificate, and an M.A. in Educational Administration from Bar-Ilan University. She completed an executive program for school leaders at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, a program in educational leadership through the Jewish Theological Seminary, and earned a certificate in Teaching Hebrew as a Second Language from Hebrew College. She is a graduate of the Gvanim program for pluralistic Israeli identity sponsored by the Jewish Federation and a fellow of the Kolot program for Jewish learning and social action. She served as an education officer at the Israeli Defense Forces Officers School and as an instructor in the Negev Educational Unit in Sde Boker.
